True. It is all about taste. I think the production cost of leather is probably why it costs more. That is true about spills. But forget biro or what cat claws can do to leather. I adore the look of leather- especially tan/caramel and don't get me started on the chesterfield I covet! Alas not for me again. Haunted by the self-awareness of the sweaty patch from a summer afternoon!! No I didn't (pee my pants), really!

Hi Ella, I agree your place is lovely, and your perfectionism shows in the details- it's eclectic and interesting! Re: the office- would you consider positioning it on the opposite wall (where the easel is and next to the wall hanging)- it's abit lost behind the lounge there and I think it would make the room look more balanced on the other side. I would then move the single chair to the other end of the room, same side.

Hi there! Megan from Bluethumb online art gallery here. I definitely agree with has been said previously, that you need a rug to really ground the area and define the space. I like the new arrangement of the furniture, it adds to the cosiness of the space. What you really need are some soft furnishings - matching cushions instead of the real mixed bag you have, throw rugs and some nice decorative aspects on the side table. Consider playing with texture to add dimension. I see that you have an artwork already on one wall. I would suggest moving it to the wall on the window, and adding a much larger piece where it is currently hanging. The scale of the artwork makes the wall and room feel much emptier and off balance. I would suggest a piece like this one by one of our best-selling artists, Elaine Green.
