Exterior Windows Paint

Hi professionals,
We are looking forward to paint the driveway, roof, garage door and windows. Make it modern and bright, we have modernise the inside of the house. which colours should we use to match the bricks we have painted the inside windows white not sure about the outside windows and timber above the windows.

The gutters look relatively new. I would match that colour and paint ALL the trim, windows, barge boards, etc and garage doors that colour. Give the roof a good clean, and see if it actually does need repointing and painting. Otherwise leave that as is. Then landscape the front garden.

Leave the roof for new owners, in this selling environment, unless the roof is leaking, you will sell without spending money on it.

I was searching for a matching chair to use in my living room and I found your page displaying the same sofa that I have! I purchased this early last year and it stayed wrapped up for months until my construction was done. I really like how you're already tying in the neutrals together. This sofa is so versatile, I have already done an updated xmas scheme and I am about to change around it for spring. Prefer dark, though not this 'trendy' grey of the moment...dark brown thanks...a little more timeless. Not fake wood grain though. If you want wood, use wood; not laminate wood grain. We're going with a good quality dark brown laminate. Then mixing it with warm off white wall/ceiling, smoky chandelier (and aptly positioned down lights) and deep caramel-toned carpet underfoot. Our aim is for a really comforting room to get dressed in each morning...for both genders. Grey just doesn't have that same warmth. And don't know about you, but white is way too bright & glary in the early morning. However, do take on your point about dust 'helendyjak'...hadn't thought of that.

Hi, You could introduce some mid century pops of colour, mustard , teal and burnt orange. This could be in your dining chairs or cushions and throws and art etc. I would only go with black if you are intending to have black elsewhere as the floor looks like it could be quite dark. If you wanted to go a bit more scandinavian you could accessorise with pale blue soft greys and creams. The Viva creme suite gives scope for introducing more colours than the darker one but it is important to introduce some colour. Good luck.

One thing you might want to consider too is the finish of the bench top. Even though dark colours absorb light if you have a shiny coating on your bench top it might give you that glare effect. We have a dark green laminated bench top. And we get a lot on sun in the morning and the bench top is quite resonates a lot of glare. Opt for a matt finish in a material that won't throw a lot of light back. I have attached a photo of our bench top to give you an idea of what I mean

It is leaking especially with the heavy rain, I don’t want to take the risk, actually the all the points of the roof are rotten and broken and drive way is a 1980 original colour!

Would monument colour be good for the roof, fascia and down pipes?

Monument would be good, but what colour is the existing gutters above the garage. That maybe just as good.

I’d suggest having the roof repaired and not painted. At least have it repaired (which you’d need to do anyway) and then reevaluate the need to have it painted until after the rest has been painted. For the rest I’d paint everything that can be painted a dark charcoal. And as per your earlier post update the landscaping.
