Hi June, can you tell us a bit more about whats going on outside of the window, is there a pretty courtyard or are you not on the ground level? any ideas of what it might have been previously, has something been converted? whats on the other side of the wall to the left of the window, are the walls brick or framed timber, are you able/interested in making structural changes (for example installing a sky light or converting to a door or reclaiming the space from the other side of the wall or giving it back to what ever is on the other side to make that space larger etc..) or just looking for ideas to utilise the space as is? thank you, with a bit more info Ill put my thinking cap on. Siri - you can have your Eiffel tower angel... give me the beach any day :) Nic - perhaps some driftwood, shells and a jar of sand might help bring the beach to you - just don't knock your sand flying or you'll literally be able to crank up your fireplace and lie down on your sand to sunbake lol.

My other thought was to move the protea print across to above console but not sure how it would look next to other print. Also within the dining family room I already have 2 prints. I did try a small mirror but when the console is positioned up against the end wall it mainly reflects kitchen.

There were design ideas I had never thought of and really valued like the floating shelf, a mural and larger cushions and changing the colour of the lamp shade. Attached is the latest room version. I have moved paintings around. I do love this aboriginal painting, I am not sure if it is a little small but I'd really like it above the couch so perhaps another complimentary painting beside it? Or do you think it works ok? I think I can pretty much choose any colour from the painting for cushions and to brighten up the space - was thinking brighter and larger like suggested above by littlethommo2 and littlethommo2 . I still think I have balance/scale to work on - thank you Paul Di Stefano Design and littlethommo2 . I can move the cupboard at the end of the couch with the plant on it and place something taller here ? Any further ideas are really appreciated. Thank you all !
