White-matte cabinets (flat panel, not shaker) and white bench (or maybe epoxy sealed marine ply??...siriuskey can tell you about that), mirror splash. Love the ceilings. I personally would go for a modern, stream-line, no handles, integrated appliances look. This space has real potential to be very cool, even with the slate. It doesn't need any more more texture or darkness. This is a nice kitchen, you should be able to sell it on ebay.

I would vote for the top example here. Itr gives an earthy tone to the room and yet is still bright and wont show every piece of dust or food.

Am not too fond of glossy finish due to finger print will be easily visible, but positive side of it is easy cleaning. @dreamer I was thinking about the darker cabinets too (Though am a white colour fan), awalnut brown or black or so on..

Thank you dreamer, the window is green glass. I was hoping to have a different colour for the lowers but I may have no choice. Was trying to make the kitchen a bit more like a living area with colour. The kitchen above is stunning!
