Laundry redesign for flip

Any ideas how to renovate this laundry cost effectively for a house flip. Thought about moving sink to other wall and running a bench along on top of washing machine and dryer but it will be too costly to move floor drain. Want to replace taps but can that be done without removing wall tiles ? Or should I remove them (which means more cost flushing walls etc). Any suggestions appreciated :)

If you want to change the position of the sink/washer/dryer, then you will have to move the taps anyway. So therefore walls will need also changing,assuming it’s stud walls with gyprock and they are not brick walls. At the moment the plumbing appears to be on outside wall. Is the other wall internal or external? What is the round tube against the laundry trough? Is there enough space on the other wall for appliances.? And no you don’t have to remove the tiles if retro fitting new tap fittings in their current position. You just need the correct size of existing plumbing, so you can fit new taps. Oh, and make sure the water is off at the mains.

I would leave plumbing almost intact but replace the snick with a bench mounted sink with the plumbing under the sink including the washing machine connection, removing what is up on wall for washer. Run bench across under window allowing space for washer under. Add a tall cupboard opp and another bench that could have a hamper or dryer etc, with power point above and below bench

subject to correct measurements, your idea of moving the laundry sounds good but do you really need the expense of installing a side door...why not continue taking the washing out through the doors to the deck, accessing the laundry through the kitchen doesn't need to affect the entry and instead of joining the study with the old master bedroom, why not include the study and back bedroom and ens for a new master suite with the best view and by relocating the toilet, opening up some internal walls and a new kitchen layout you could achieve the open feeling you're after ...but only correct measurements will confirm the possibilities especially info about the block, roof and walls

are you planning a diy flatpac kitchen or custom cabinetry? unfortunately i don't think there's enough space to have such a long island bench and suggest that there would be better counter space and more easily accessed storage by moving the laundry door and having an 1800 island and standard tall pantry...moving the laundry door and omitting the corner pantry allows for an extra 1500 wall cabinets, more counter space, more drawers and the microwave could be positioned in a microwave wall cabinet with the door opening towards the window and the whole kitchen would feel more spacious and by not extending the wall behind the stove there can be a simple 30cm overhang for stools.....based on standard flatpac sizes something like this could work ...

Thanks everyone for you thoughts but as this is a renovation/add on of our house we aren’t planning on moving wall of existing bathroom, toilet & laundry except to move the toilet door into the bathroom so people can go to the toilet in privacy. With 2 other toilets in the house and another in the shed there’s always one available.We’ve lived with the toilet door as it is for 21 years and when we’re at the dinning table you can hear what’s going on in there. We’re quite happy with kitchen layout. One of the main reasons for this renovation is to improve the indoor outdoor flow as our outdoor entertainment area is directly outside the new entry in the kitchen. Currently everyone comes through the laundry.

I'm no expert but just my thoughts if it was my house - The bedrooms are on the small side, so perhaps think about how they will be used - do your children need space to play or do homework in their rooms? Is the 4th bedroom for guests or will it be used as a home office? In bedrooms 2 and 3 the beds are below the window - are the windows high enough to allow a bedhead/to not lay down with your head against the window? What will be in the main bathroom - shower, bath, single/double vanity? What are you thinking layout wise? I'm confused by the kitchen, especially the pantry access given the corners are blocked by other benches - is it meant to be a walk in pantry or just normal cupboards? The hall is long and narrow and you need to go past all the bedrooms before you get to the living space. Not sure how well this will work, but I've only lived in places where the entry is adjacent to living space. Love the idea of having a separate self contained space for your parents - as others have said bathroom is too far from either bedroom, and the entry near bedroom could be an issue.

Thanks, that's helpful. @kate so replace sink taps wall mounted like existing ones?

Regarding the place for a washing machine. Note: not everyone owns or wants a front loader washing machine. If you put a bench across from sink, then a top loader can not be installed. The new owners will have to redo the laundry...again.

Definitely upgrade the taps and spout but leave on wall. No point wasting money.
In relation to benches it depends on how much you want to invest in flip and what standard of finishes. If you are doing the basics then replace taps and spouts but leave all plumbing
