KRAKEN WHALE FIGHT! If it's childlike dreams you want to be added to the house, maybe do a kiddy-height connecting door between the kids' rooms or a little message chute they can send back and forth, pigeon holes to send letters to each other or some crazy options like your hidden door in a more public area like the front entertaining space. There are so many ways to add whimsy that can be fixed up and removed later on if yall need. If the kids are smol: Kids only door or Door in a door There's an amazing episode of Grand Designs with a couple of superfun ideas Scooby Doo House that made me realise hidden doors and revolving shelves are better for playrooms than bedrooms....See MoreMaster suite WIR floor plan help!
Comments (19)Hi Guys, lets see if I can help! It appears to me that bed two has no robe...if that is correct we can help here too. Redirect some of your existing robe from the far end ie 1200? to bed 2. Then put 900 of hanging or shelving across end external wall...when arranged with long, short hanging and shelving this will work with more robe space for you both. What length of robe you loose is made up for in shelving and hanging design to suit your needs. Build a wall, new bed head, not full height if you like or with some top glazing and put door right next to room/hall door. Actually on your left as you enter bedroom. This leaves bathroom untouched, faces bed to the windows therefore to the view, gives bed 2 a robe and all with no dead corners! I do hope this helps you. Cheers, Margot...See Moresmall en-suite layout

Comments (21)@Kate @oklouise @siriuskey @Lauren Shiels You have all submitted excellent ideas and I truly feel like somewhere in them all, is the perfect use of our space, and the perfect vision for what we'd like to achieve. Standout has been using the angle on the left wall (where current WIR is) as a walkway, rather than the WIR. We hate those angles and would love to minimise their impact on our space. Ideally it would be a more open walkway, but we've only got so much room to move. Kate's idea of the bathroom in the bedroom has us thinking. Also, Lauren's idea of putting in a wall to create a WIR behind the bed has piqued our imagination. We have a builder coming over in a week and you have all helped us with something to show him! Thank you all for your generosity and time! If you have anymore epiphanies, please feel free to share. :)...See MoreDr Retro House Calls
