You need to do the island & your other floor cabinets first - they shouldn't be installed on top of a floating floor. Particularly the island as it won't be attached to the subfloor & will therefore not be stable enough. The floating floor can then be installed around the island. Leave the skirting boards off, so the floor can go under the cabs as far as possible, then install skirts after completion of the floor.

your new kitchen looks gorgeous...i guess the months it takes to replace would give you time to decide if you hate the gloss but what could you do with the discount they're offering and after all the disruption of planning and installing the new kitchen i would prefer to accept the goodwill from the cabinetmakers and a generous discount for something else you need and thought you couldn't afford...remember that it's only the difference in the cost of the counter for you but it's also extra labour cost and time away from other work for them and i'm sure the cabinetmakers would prefer to move on

Contact a kitchen cabinet company in your area. Google it and put your surburb in search. I could offer plenty here in Perth, but you might be in Hobart.

Hi Rami, most of the sintered stone got its patterns "printed" on surface, it means that the endge of sintered stone is without patterns, so when your stoneman do the mitered joint there will be a small line of visible endge without patern. I think it look nice, if you do not care about this small details.
