I’m assuming the original part of the house is the verandah on the left of picture, then with front door entering into the original four rooms. Instead of your proposal, what about making the bedroom 2 into master, and the kitchen as the new ensuite. Then have your new kitchen positioned on the right near the laundry, in the sitting area. Bedroom 1 can then be used as a second private sitting area. Where is north on your plan?
