En-suite or not in main bedroom ?
Comments (55)I think you should explore the idea of getting a Pod on the deck. its like a mini granny flat / cabana with toilet and small multi purpose room. You might have the space for this. Your layout looks fine as it is, and if you have a covered pergola, a second toilet in a pod will works well there. I am a bit against adding plumbing and moving walls to your house. First its a mess. lots of putting pipes under the flooring, fixing the flooring again, also ceiling and conrice works, and you end up with smaller bed, tighter layout. Too much sacrifice and not too much to gain....See MoreEn-suite floor plan, 1 or 2?
Comments (7)the first variation feels very cramped and number 2 is more comfortable but, given enough space, you could consider another option and adding furniture helps understand the spaces better but maybe the bed would be better along the back wall so that you could have a view to the deck from in bed..but that could mean rethinking that extra window ..perhaps a tall narrow window behind the chair? (nb dimensions are only guestimated and the plan suggests that a liitle extra could be taken off the bedroom to make the ens and wiw wider to allow for bigger bath and/or wider and/or twin handbasins)...See MoreBedroom bathroom ensuite Reno..
Comments (17)the main issue with the ens is the big window.. you could reverse the toilet and shower space but the shower towel rails wouldn't be so convenient and the potential wet floor in front of the shower is better away from the vanity, the generous bath space is not suitable for more than a small free standing bath so i've included a built in bath that can take advantage of the whole space, there's an enclosed toilet, generous shower and double vanity and room for a stacked wm and dryer and/or underbench washer and sink but taking space away from the ens for the extra wardrobe improves the bedroom but makes the ens too skimpy for the bath and laundry...See MoreMaster En-suite Help
Comments (29)I also like oklouise plan. good insulation is the key. In your original posted plan, Maybe change where the beds are positioned in the room. I think there is some bad feng shui if your head is backing onto a toilet. Apart from the noise factor, every time the toilet is flushed....See MoreRegina Stroungis
