I need layout advice for small open plan kitchen/dining/living
Comments (3)Hello Dee, I would 'mirror image' your plan and have the kitchen against the original part of the house (to the left of your step down) and still with the island. You could then have sliding doors facing both decks, and hopefully a beautiful outlook to your garden, also a lovely vista when you walk down the steps... your living dining furniture will have the feel of more room against windows, rather than boxed in by walls....See MoreNeed help with furniture layout and replacement in open plan room
Comments (15)Hi Ann, thank you for your comprehensive replies, I definitely prefer a neutral palette as I am attempting to make the view the main feature of the room. I love the style of the coffee tables you chose, they are exactly what I have been looking at and agree with your comments regarding the entertainment unit, I have been actively looking for a long lowline unit (220-240cm length and 45cm high)as I wish to minimise the obstruction of the view. You definitely have a knack for picking up on the look I was after!!!!. Thank you again for your assistance....See MorePlease help with open plan bedroom and bathroom layout
Comments (10)Thank you oklouise those drawings have given us some good thoughts. The front door to the house is bottom left corner of the drawing and will swing against the Master Bedroom wall where it is thickest otherwise the door will swing into the lounge room so we'll have to get creative with the Master Bedroom sliding door location. Attached for reference. Gallifrey The ghosted wall you mentioned is the original wall before the renovation. It will be taken down so there won't be any wall in the bedroom, we were hoping to have an open plan Master Bedroom and Ensuite. LesleyH Good point, we'd love a nice large shower. We've had a bathtub combined shower for 20 years and it's on the narrow side....See Morewhich layout for open plan area
Comments (2)You have used graph paper but not drawn the areas using the squares in the graph paper. For example, one square is 500mm. So therefore your drawings are not to scale with the sizes shown. But I get your intent. I would choose the drawing with the long alfresco. With living on the north side. You can have a wonderful large rectangle dining suite in the alfresco with lounge chairs as well. The north side of alfresco to be a gable. Tv would go on the west wall....See More- 8 months ago
