Need help on choosing tile colour.
Comments (2)jersey you have no photos in your idea books. Search for photos of kitchens here on houzz - save all the kitchen photos you like in one idea book. You can refine the search to include white cabinets bench tops and tiles and see what comes up. I have 10 ideabooks but many here on house have dozens! So start looking now ; ) Having an all white kitchen with white floor tiles could look a little sterile or bland , look at introducing some colour or texture or elements of timber for warmth. See photos i found here on houzz! The first one to me seems very sterile but the second one introduces some timber elements and the third a little bling ....See Moreneed help choosing tile colour to match new kitchen design
Comments (24)I think it is good to mix up the warm and cool colours. We have warm furniture too so its just the walls that are cool. I even have a beige/stone coloured curtain next to the grey wall and it looks so nice. Because this is an open plan room do you think those type of tiles will be too busy? I always go for plain things but i can see how something like that would look really good! This is one big room with lounge, dining, kitchen and french doors that open to a massive decking. I will post a pic of the whole thing when the final benchtop and tiles go on...See MoreChoosing the Dulux paint colour for cabinets and splashback. Help!
Comments (35)Lea, I got them from the Dulux website. I screenshot certain colours, then posted them to thread. Of course, it’s always best to get sample pots and try your selections where you will be using them...need to see them in all lighting and in combination with each other. You may want to speak with a colour consultant at a good paint shop; they are very knowledgeable and helpful. Also, lots of great articles on Houzz. You can can also post a Design Dilemna if you would like the wider community to mull over your colour palette and offer advice! Cheers....See MoreHelp choosing splashback tiles
Comments (35)Hi, I am at same stage of renovating kitchen, regional Western Australia, harder to get different but I have found these at my local tile shop, that had to be ordered in, not up yet but our house is 1960 build and I had the red brick exposed with glass over the top, while very unique and lots of positive comments it was in a chimney location and debris fell behind and I have had it replaced once to clean it up and it happened again so I am afraid it is going, I am covering with same stone as bench top in fire place but I am using some marble tiles on other area. I wanted the stone behind stove top for cleaning purposes but I love the tiles I have selected I hope they look as good once up, I agree about not wanting house stuck too much in 50/60, my bricks were red and I found it quite dark when cooking as well, I am looking forward to clean white behind stove, I actually found the harshness of the old brick a bit depressing.. I don't think industrial look is for me .. I love your lights I think I actually had them on my list... the whole look looks fabulous, I hope you are surviving, I have had enough of cooking in the laundry but I must say I could write a book on the creative gourmet using $29 electric frying pan from target, I have fallen in love with it. :)...See MoreJohn Sandilands
