I’d put some shutters on window to partly obscure view into kitchen. If the levels work lay pavers between step and front door . Does the path alongside the house go anywhere. Pot plant may help

Great idea thanks! The path is long and narrow- one end has stairs going down to backyard and the other goes to the side with the pool. What kind of pavers would you lay and would you suggest just between front door and stairs ie width of door only? And pot plant in front of glass window?? I'm definitely not a designer and don't have a creative bone in my body! Thank you 🙏🏻

A substantial front door mat would be good, to welcome everyone. Like the one you have inside the house. You seem to have a great deal of dampness in that area, so the area would need good waterproofing prior to any tiles being laid. You could just paint the concrete and fix the timber door, and a large welcoming mat, and a rectangle planter in front of the window.

You could clean and paint concrete but looks a big step into house so may suit brick paving on top of concrete

I’d add a narrow privacy planter in front of the window. Plus a upmarket door mat. The door mat helps define the entry and the planter adds some privacy without changing the window or losing light. You have a great looking garden.

I love your house, you could add vertical timber slats to your window and a more substantial door to give your entrance a presence, add a beautiful planter/planters and a stylish mat. You could do your path in a grey paver, could look fabulous.

The door suits the house. I’d sand and refinish it. Is that the leftover frame from a screen door also there, if so remove that. I’d use a planter about 70cm - 80cm high - depends on what you can find. Then the plant height on would add privacy and interest.

You could always do a door to compliment the timber. It really depends how much light you want in the home.

Allowing drainage to run along path could you add decking between bottom step and door for full widget of steps, widening to full width of window creating a defined porch

Wonderful ideas again, I'm very appreciative. I love the deck porch idea, I've taken a photo from the front door to show from that angle also.
The slats look great on the glass window so I'm deciding between those. I think the decking/planter/mat idea and then I'll get started today with sanding and refinishing the original door.

Unless you need the security, it would be such a shame to block your window and door, the outlook is gorgeous, you could add indoor blinds for privacy if you need to.

A very basic idea, looking at photos it seems that there's a deep step up into the entrance door and if so you will need to balance that with a long narrow step or decking between it and the garden steps
