This is beauty of good design. Dramatic changes can make an incredible impact. As I originally mentioned an extension was added to the back of the original kitchen and extended out past the original envelope of the building. The kitchen then was moved 180 degrees to opposite wall. There also are no bells and whistles in this kitchen and no soft close drawers, just the basics.

There is a great material called Forbo "desktop" furniture linoleum. It comes off the roll so can be made any size and has a great range of colours. It is also comfortable as a base to write on, We often use it to protect timber, painted or glass work surfaces in home office applications. That is a streamlined and beautiful closet now. High functioning and optimal use of space. I get why her heart skips a beat!!
