Comments (2)Nice of you to put such specific consideration into their needs! I would think that timber blinds or white timber blinds (venetians, which are much cheaper than shutters, but can look just as good. Because they are easy to clean, but mostly because teens tend to hide out in their room, sometimes this turns into a cave and they don't really care about opening the blinds each morning, also, they are particularly concerned about their privacy and sense of space, having blinds means they won't ever look messy and the most you have to do is open them up, and if they are tilted a Articular way, they still provide them a private blockout while letting the directional light in. I would also do a timber floor for a both, as they are likely to traipse in wearing shoes that of course are full of stuff from their adventures. They play sports, may spend time outdoors and timber floors scan be easily cleaned, carpets are ruined. As for a girl, if she has different interests, or spends time in her room often, a carpet rug on a timber floor. Rugs can personalize a space, so they have some saying the decor, and easily replaced, maintaining your timber floors beneath, while providing warmth and comfort. Even if covered mostly by furniture, the edge of a rug underfoot will feel more comfortable than not....See MoreHelp with layout of master bedroom/wir/ensuite
Comments (18)Love those ideas thanks Pazz. Thanks for your time on it. There is a window along the wall I have marked at 4m. However there are no windows along the wall marked 7mtr, as we are right up close to the neighbours. All natural light will only be from either end of the rooms (ensuite and other end) I like your ideas there and it's definitely a start. I wonder if there is a way to have light from the courtyard come through to the walk in robe and bedroom. I am imagining being able to see the courtyard from the bedroom but can't quite figure out how that could work? I had thought of having the walk in robe up the 4m end, but this would then limit any natural light coming in from that window. I do love what you have suggested with widening the room and doing away with the closed off lobby. Thanks again for taking time to look at this for me....See MoreToddlers' bedroom layout
Comments (5)If they are going to share, the obvious place for me is the wall the cot is on & the opposite wall. Add a long low bedside table in between under the window. Have it low enough for drink bottles, books etc, I had a tall boy between my son & daughter and it was useless when they shared. I was often summoned for a sip of water! If they are happy to share consider a double bed, mine loved bunking in together and you can move them out for guests....See MoreMaster Bedroom, Robe & Ensuite Layout Help
Comments (4)where is north and do you have gorgeous views out those big windows and where does the bedroom door open to? ...there isn't a much better layout although moving the wall will allow more wall space in the wiw and a more generous ensuite with careful choice of fixtures including a 90cm wide vanity with drop in basin, narrow toilet in a 80cm wide space and walk in shower 160cm x 90cm and wide mirror doored wall cabinet and a ventilating sklight the ensuite should be much more comfortable and allows extra wall space for 4.65m of storage in the wiw plus dressing space and room for 3 x 90cm wide chests of drawers and a chair etc...See MoreKate
