High Bed vs Low Bed
Comments (17)I would recommend a higher bed whether ensemble or any style of base with top mattress or pillow top. I have had serious spinal injuries since 25 (I'm now 40) I would advise any bed reaching around 70cm in height regardless off style. There are a few things that I would advise, overall height around 70cm or a little more, most important to consider is comfort. Do not worry about aesthetics when choosing bed as your sleep is more important to your overall health. So if you can afford the more comfortable bed go for it. As for putting on sheets etc, the weight off mattresses is not really a big deal as it is your sleep comfort that is important. With pillow top mattress with a fitted sheet needing a 45cm fitted sheet are easy to find and purchase from same place bed is purchased. In Australia all bed sheet supplies are available for pillow top with 45cm drop fitted. Percale last longer and are around $100 per set and 1000 thread count. Spotlight have great sales and choices as well as Pillow Talk. I have found Adair's to be quite expensive in comparison but that is up to you to decide. I hope you have many a restful nights sleep. But do not worry about weight of mattress as you need your sleep to live healthy and it is an investment for around ten years so how it looks and weight of mattress should be last on list. Designers may disagree, but our bedrooms are normally our sanctuaries and it is rather easy to make any bed style work for you and decorate to your style....See MoreExtension project
Comments (7)@Tribbletrouble44152k7 Trek no we haven't, as we have easements and our land isn't flat, we are restricted to where to build. An extension seems the most cost effective way, as we utilise what we have existing and building the extension south means we use fairly flat land, so not too much excavation required. @girlguides bedrooms will have robes - BR 1 and 2 have them (those funny W shapes supposed to be robes, haha) and master has WIR before ensuite. Reason i boxed bath was I have seen a bath like that, it looked amazing, relaxing, and a large window the length of the bath. We have a bit of a view and want to utilise it, make that bathroom really 'spesh'. Storage on either side is because i would love to have a red gum vanity top and minimal drawers underneath, so would like to hide storage of towels and toiletries behind some kind of flush cabinetry. @jmm1837 I saw a bathroom like this once and really liked it... have a bit of a window at the shower, again, view (and my partner is a horticulturist, i'm a graphic designer, lots of light and bringing the outside in is important for us in terms of living). Toilet.... well i guess its just the same layout as what i've seen previously. It has a door... whether its a sliding door or standard door... And i thought plumbing wise it would work better having back to back with the shower?...See MoreFabric for day bed
Comments (2)Hi Anna, the wetsuit fabric is not suitable for another reason - it will be prone to make the foam moldy. Outdoors conditions can also breakdown a fabric as well as badly fade the colours, so ensure you choose a fabric rated for outdoor use, and even then some will be better suited for your purpose than others. There are plenty of outdoor fabrics out there of varying quality and price points. Factors such as the fibre, colouring process, quality of manufacturer etc all will affect the comfort and durability of the fabric. My services do include custom outdoor soft furnishing, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you require assistance with your project. Comments (15)Thanks everyone for you thoughts but as this is a renovation/add on of our house we aren’t planning on moving wall of existing bathroom, toilet & laundry except to move the toilet door into the bathroom so people can go to the toilet in privacy. With 2 other toilets in the house and another in the shed there’s always one available. We’ve lived with the toilet door as it is for 21 years and when we’re at the dinning table you can hear what’s going on in there. We’re quite happy with kitchen layout. One of the main reasons for this renovation is to improve the indoor outdoor flow as our outdoor entertainment area is directly outside the new entry in the kitchen. Currently everyone comes through the laundry....See MoreLori
