Need help for my exterior paint colour and exterior design
Comments (14)Hi, I like the overall concept of the darkish grey, it suits the home. I am a colour consultant and have been working with the Dulux range for 17 years and you are on the right track with the Guild Grey. The Dulux Signature will give you a dark blue house. Another option if Simone Weil which is just a bit lighter than the Guild Grey, if you find that one too dark. Sample pots and A4 brush outs onto white cardboard are the best way to decide, because computer programs give an overall impression of the "look" but are not accurate with colour choices, you can't beat the human eye. All the best, it's going to look great....See MorePaint help
Comments (4)White doors and trims is great - if you want to break it up a little, apply a subtle wall colour instead. And add some nice door hardware - it will make a huge difference!...See MoreHelp deciding what colour to paint external fascia
Comments (8)Hi, I think your trims and fascia would look great in Dulux ‘Raku’, will look great with your bricks and will make your future landscaping really stand out, we used ‘stepney’ with ‘raku’ trims and it is fab, the plants look great against those colours...See MoreHelp! Should I render or paint my 1970s facade?
Comments (48)If you want to make the house hotter, then painting the roof charcoal will certainly achieve that. Repointing the brickwork is the most sensible from a maintenance perspective. Once you render and paint, then you have to keep painting (and it's likely to be out of fashion sooner or later). Try to keep passive cooling in mind (i.e. light colours & permeable landscaping) with any of your renovations, and I think it always pays to try and embrace and compliment the original architecture and be unique, rather than trying to look like the latest project home. In my opinion the arch window is actually quite cool, and the excellent mock-ups provided by Geo Toria are along the right track....See MoreBizzy Lizzy Designs, Inc.
