Can I lighten my trims somehow?
Comments (14)Yes, same colour in different textures will provide consistency throughout with just enough variance to make it look interesting. Are you repainting your walls, if so and if you have the time I'd recommend buying sample pots of the whites you're interested in and painting a decent size swatch of them on walls to see their colour change under different lighting- it will look one colour while still wet in the tin, but completely different once dry on a wall under your house lights and the changing daylight. If it's strictly trim you're painting then that's not really necessary. Can't wait to see the end result, the dark beams with lighter trims throughout the house will look absolutely magnificent....See MoreColour of bulkhead - ceiling, wall or cupboard?
Comments (10)Hi I'd go the colour of the wall. I love a white kitchen :) If you're looking for a point of difference, however, you could add some colourful cook books in the corner. You could also add little door knobs along the top cabinets, if you want, too help break them up a bit. Although drastic, removing the cupboard doors above the fridge and filling with colourful cook books would also add a pop of colour. It would still be in keeping with your shaker style too. Although, I'm sure you've just spent a lot on those doors, lol. Anyway, I think you've done a great job. It's a hard space to work with, small and u shaped. I can now appreciate the difficulties in working with an odd shaped kitchen! It's hard to get symmetry, so it limits what you can do. I'm about to do a similar style kitchen and was wondering what colour you used on your cabinets? They look great :)...See MoreExternal color scheme! Help! Render and roof colors to go with woodlan
Comments (13)I really like colorbonds wallaby... they have some contrasting colours listed below... this might give a dark enough look without being too dark. however would you consider changing roof and trims first and then see how you feel about the brickwork? It might be all you need to do for an updated look. I'd maybe do roof and gutters same colour and then down pipes in a colour similar to bricks so not to stand out..., garage doors maybe the woodland grey?...See MoreLow ceilings - paint walls and celings all one colour?
Comments (5)Whisper white is so very barely warm, I think it would achieve what you are after as it is often used in cool colour schemes. You can view the full range of Dulux whites on the attached link. If you click on a colour it will give you the break down of red, green, blue content for each colour. Just remember the colours on the screen will look different on your walls as the computer uses subtractive colour and you'll be painting with additive colour. http://www.dulux.com.au/specifier/colour/colour-atlas...See MoreHilary I
