Large empty wall
Comments (4)Looking at the art initially I thought it was an internal obscured glazed window. I think if it had a feature picture frame that would help. Also a more intense wall colour would help it settle into place. I agree something under it would make sense - if you can fit it in the room. Covering the vent whilst still allowing it to do its job would be great. Good luck!...See MoreOne frame or a big collage?
Comments (10)Well, what do you have and what do you like? I tend to always have a backlog of posters, prints and photos waiting to be framed - and, actually, waiting for the wallspace to be available! It depends whether you want the art simply to be decorative, or something that reminds you of when you visited that gallery or museum and bought it - or that holiday when you took the photo - or that amazing film or play that you saw that led to you acquiring the poster . . . so, my smallish townhouse has art on every wall, some large (movie poster, and poster-size prints of paintings that I loved in galleries), some small (postcards, many bought as souvenirs) and some actual original art! reflecting different moments in my life. (Heck, I once covered the back of a door with a display of restaurant business cards!) I think I'd advise you to go with the decals option - art can be expensive to buy (and even more expensive to frame) if you are simply looking at it as something decorative to occupy space....See MoreSteampunk wallpaper
Comments (14)Love the steam punk vibe. Always check in with the artist prior to using their art as most times they would be flattered to have someone hang it on their wall especially a giant sized version. Pity you couldn't have a pulley system? mural where if that background got a bit old you could change it up with a new steampunk art piece and design the pulley to have cogs not only for function but for aesthetics as well. Have a big brass button with "Push here" to activate....See MoreI need help decorating our entrance hall
Comments (6)You could create an ‘art gallery’ and light each canvas along the entry. This would draw the eye down the hall. Consider what is at the end of the space, where the eye stops and add a feature piece of furniture, paint colour or sculpture there....See MoreJennifer
