The theme for the design of these four bathrooms was Coastal Americana. My clients wanted classic designs that incorporated color, a coastal feel, and were fun. The master bathroom stands out with the interesting mix of tile. We maximized the tall sloped ceiling with the glass tile accent wall behind the freestanding bath tub. A simple sandblasted "wave" glass panel separates the wet area. Shiplap walls, satin bronze fixtures, and wood details add to the beachy feel. The three guest bathrooms, while having tile in common, each have their own unique vanities and accents. Curbless showers and frameless glass opened these rooms up to feel more spacious. The bits of blue in the floor tile lends just the right pop of blue. Custom fabric roman shades in each room soften the look and add extra style.

This Grant Park house was built in 1999. With that said, this bathroom was dated, builder grade with a tiny shower (3 ft x 3 ft) and a large jacuzzi-style 90s tub. The client was interested in a much larger shower, and he really wanted a sauna if squeeze it in there. Because this bathroom was tight, I decided we could potentially go into the large walk-in closet and expand to include a sauna. The client was looking for a refreshing coastal theme, a feel good space that was completely different than what existed. The finished space under the garage is an ocean lovers dream. The coastal design style is inspired by the client’s Nantucket vacations. The floor plan includes a living room, galley kitchen, guest bedroom and full guest bathroom. Coastal decor elements include shiplap walls, sand colored luxury plank flooring, waterfall mosaic tiled shower and blue bathroom vanity.

The colorful tile behind the vanity is stained wood and gives the impression of nautical flags. Shiplap walls are the perfect detail in our coastal cottage. The ceilings were stained turquoise to bring your eye upward, showing off the new height of the cilings. Tons of transom windows were added allowing light to flood into the space.

A boy's bathroom that is meant to grow with them, we used a timeless penny tile floor, shiplap detailing on the walls & navy blue double vanity complimented by brass hardware, plumbing and lighting.

We utilized the space in this powder room more efficiently by fabricating a driftwood apron- front, floating sink base. The extra counter space gives guests more room room for a purse, when powdering their nose. Chunky crown molding, painted in fresh white balances the architecture. With no natural light, it was imperative to have plenty of illumination. We chose a small chandelier with a dark weathered zinc finish and driftwood beads and coordinating double light sconce. A natural rope mirror brings in the additional beach vibe and jute baskets store bathroom essentials and camouflages the plumbing. Paint is Sherwin Williams, "Deep Sea Dive".
