The bathroom in this summer house on Lauderdale Lakes, Wis. was ready for an update. The homeowner loved the sand and water tones of the lake and wanted to incorporate that into the space. We installed granite countertops and used a ceramic tile for the bathtub surround and floors that pair perfectly. All new plumbing fixtures and lighting were also installed to complete the look of this bathroom.

This homeowner’s main inspiration was to bring the beach feel, inside. Stone was added in the showers, and a weathered wood finish was selected for most of the cabinets. In addition, most of the bathtubs were replaced with curbless showers for ease and openness. The designer went with a Native Trails trough-sink to complete the minimalistic, surf atmosphere. We are always renovating our own home, and one project was our master bathroom/hall bathroom combo. Sounds awful, but, yes, did share our master bathroom with the hall and company. We live in a 1950’s ranch, and for the most part the home is amazing. However, this one room was not so much. So, we reconfigured, redesigned, gutted and re-created the space so we could have two bathrooms. I’m so happy how it turned out! Here’s our new hall powder room and private guest bathroom. The Brief: to create a wet room that invokes feelings of the sea. The pebble tiles create a wonderful foot massage as you walk in as well as adding depth and interest. The bespoke, hand made rustic vanity unit, gives plenty of storage space, whilst adding a warm touch to the overall look of the bathroom. The shine from the grey metro tiles means that rather than feeling small, this bathroom gives a sense of space and light.

Soft and light, beach-inspired, our "Pearl Walnut" signature cabinetry finish is a sophisticated nod to coastal style.
