The walk out basement boasts of impressive recreational spaces, with billiards and poker rooms, a circular bar with an exotic circular fish tank placed in the center, a windowed cigar smoking room with its own ventilation unit with a cozy sitting area sunken around a fireplace for conversation, also a walk in wine cellar, a sports centered theatre TV room with several screens to choose from, and a walk-in custom sauna to warm up in after a cold day of snow skiing.

An award winning house in Harlow designed by RDA. It was one of 6 siteds designated in Harlow as an experimental project for South Builders. RDA won the commision after a failed attempt by a previous Architect. The project takes its queue from modernist design, though this was fabricated offsite and assembled quicklyThe house itself is made out of 6 structural insulated panels and is very energy efficient. The modernist design follows through to the interiors. The use of terraces and open space adds to a comfortable aesthetic which overlooks the fields and beautiful landscape. Балки оставлены обнаженными, крыша подшита тонированной доской. Несмотря на визуальную «прозрачность» архитектуры, дом оснащен продуманной системой отопления и способен достойно выдерживать настоящие русские зимы: обогрев обеспечивают конвекторы под окнами, настенные радиаторы, теплые полы. Еще одно интересное решение, функциональное и декоративное одновременно, — интегрированный в стену двусторонний камин: он обогревает и гостиную, и террасу. Так подчеркивается идея взаимопроникновения внутреннего и внешнего. Эту концепцию поддерживают и полностью раздвижные витражи по бокам от камина, и отделка внутренних стен тем же фактурным кирпичом, что использован для фасада.

This house was a challenging project in that is was a spec-home that didn't want to skimp on any of the details. Thus we installed a somewhat robust COntrol4 System the demonstrated all the capabilities, while leaving much room to the imagination for future upgrades! © Trevor Tondro
