Carefully nestled among old growth trees and sited to showcase the remarkable views of Lake Keowee at every given opportunity, this South Carolina architectural masterpiece was designed to meet USGBC LEED for Home standards. The great room affords access to the main level terrace and offers a view of the lake through a wall of limestone-cased windows. A towering coursed limestone fireplace, accented by a 163“ high 19th Century iron door from Italy, anchors the sitting area. Between the great room and dining room lies an exceptional 1913 satin ebony Steinway. This transitional canopy bed really makes a statement. The bachelors chests in the two tone finish frame the bed and give it even more presence. The settee at the foot of the bed was designed for my client's dogs to sleep on.

We used Namibian white polished marble in our design of 'her' ensuite, the bespoke floating vanity unit with accent lighting below echoing the dressing room doors and creating a feminine, glamorous look.

With its cedar shake roof and siding, complemented by Swannanoa stone, this lakeside home conveys the Nantucket style beautifully. The overall home design promises views to be enjoyed inside as well as out with a lovely screened porch with a Chippendale railing. Throughout the home are unique and striking features. Antique doors frame the opening into the living room from the entry. The living room is anchored by an antique mirror integrated into the overmantle of the fireplace. The kitchen is designed for functionality with a 48” Subzero refrigerator and Wolf range. Add in the marble countertops and industrial pendants over the large island and you have a stunning area. Antique lighting and a 19th century armoire are paired with painted paneling to give an edge to the much-loved Nantucket style in the master.
