Il progetto di restyling e di arredo per questa villa moderna in fase di costruzione, ha voluto unire contemporaneità e tradizione, tema importante nei nostri progetti. Dell’architettura della Costa Smeralda abbiamo recuperato i colori caldi e tenui, la sensazione di uno spazio avvolgente, quasi naturale, declinato in chiave moderna e lineare. L’ambiente principale, la zona giorno era caratterizzata da un corridoio stretto che con due pareti inclinate si affacciava bruscamente sulla sala. Per armonizzare il rapporto tra gli ambienti e i cambi di quota, abbiamo scelto di raccordare le linee di pareti e soffitto con un rivestimento in granito rigato, che richiami i lavori di Sciola e impreziosisca l’ingresso. Il decoro rigato viene richiamato in altri elementi di arredo, come nella camera da letto e nel bagno, nei pannelli in rovere che rivestono la testiera del letto e il mobile lavabo. Il granito si ripropone nel rivestimento della piscina, nei complementi di arredo e nel top cucina. Nel soffitto, il tono grigio chiaro luminoso del granito viene riproposto all’interno delle campiture centrali. Il richiamo alla tradizione è presente anche negli elementi di decoro tessile utilizzati in tutta la casa. In sala, i toni neutri e giallo oro dei tappeti di mariantoniaurru, richiamano la tradizione in maniera contemporanea e allo stesso modo il pannello Cabulè, disegnato dallo studio, impreziosisce la camera da letto e ne migliora l’acustica. Per la cucina è stato scelto, infine, un look semplice, total white, adatto ad un ambiente funzionale e luminoso. Gli arredi sono tutti in legno, granito e materiali tessili; veri, quasi rustici, ma al tempo stesso raffinati. The project involves a detailed restyling of a modern under construction villa, and it aims to join contemporary and traditional features, such as many of our projects do. From the Costa Smeralda architecture, we borrowed warm and soft colors, and that atmosphere in which the environment seems to embrace the guests, and we tried to translate it into a much modern design. The main part of the project is the living room, where a narrow hall, would lead, through two opening walls, abruptly facing the wall. To improve the balance between hall and ling room, and the different ceiling heights it was decided to cover the walls and ceiling with striped granite covering, recalling Sciola’s work and embellishing the entrance. Striped decor recurs throughout the house, like in the walnut panels covering the bedroom headboard and the bathroom sink cabinet. Granite is present on the pool borders, in furniture pieces and on the kitchen top. The ceiling, thanks to a light grey shade, recalls the granite impression. In the living room, golden yellow details appear in mariantoniaurru carpets, while in the bedroom, Cabulè textile panels, designed by the Studio, improve acoustic performance. For the kitchen we picked out a simple, total white look, to focus on its feature of functional and luminous environment. All the furniture pieces are made of natural wood, granite or textile material, to underline the feeling of something true, rustic but at the same time sophisticated. Traditional elements are also present, all the while translated in modern language, on many textile furnishing accessories chosen.

La cucina è stata parzialmente recuperata dal precedente appartamento dei proprietari, quindi ampliata e adattata al nuovo spazio abitativo. E' stata studiata e realizzata una piccola penisola con piano a induzione e zona breakfast, grigia e in contrasto con la cucina esistente total white, e un nuovo pensile con sviluppo longitudinale e anta unica da aprire a ribalta. Il fondo della cucina è stato realizzato con carta da parati adatto a zone umide, color ocra, che richiama i tessuti dell'area living, creando un collegamento visivo armonioso tra le due aree e conferendo continuità all'intero spazio abitativo.

This beautiful combination of rooms was part of a whole house design that we put together to flow within the owner’s overall vision of modern style and functionality. THE SETUP The house was partially built when the owner purchased it, so we tweaked the layout to fit his needs. Like so many homeowners today, our client is a casual diner and would rather not have space dedicated as a formal dining room. Island seating and a large table off the kitchen make more sense for his lifestyle. Our client wanted a clean, contemporary look with a layout that works for one person preparing meals most of the time, but adaptable for entertaining at different scales at other times. THE RENEWED SPACE The first thing we did was design a bar in the space formerly designated for a formal dining room. It is open to the front entry foyer on one side and flows easily into the butler’s pantry on the other side. A TV for sports viewing is centered between a full-sized wine cooler and a glass cabinet for barware. The u-shaped bar top seats five people comfortably and hides the lower bar prep countertop from view from the entry. The butler’s pantry is situated between the kitchen eating area and the front bar. The walls on the sides of this area were opened to help the areas flow together into one great room. An icemaker and under-counter refrigerator drawers were incorporated into the butler’s pantry to help it function as a place to set up drinks etc. to be used in the kitchen eating area. The floating shelves also helped open the space up. Across from the butler’s area is a clean contemporary powder room with indirect lighting below floating cabinetry to complete the look. The kitchen uses an array of man-made materials for ease of maintenance and durability. The layout includes a perfect work triangle for a one-cook kitchen with all the amenities. A range with double ovens, a built-in microwave and a warming drawer are all conveniently located. The countertop is a man-made quartz that looks like rugged concrete. The refrigerator and freezer are below a decorative niche, which gives them a furniture-type appearance. Across from the kitchen is a family room with a fireplace surrounded by a quartz material and wooden wall panels that match the kitchen’s countertop and refrigerator cabinetry. THE RENEWED SPACE The overall effect is a beautiful area with separate spaces for living life comfortably and artistically. Everything flows together, facilitating life’s daily needs and a wide range of purposeful gatherings with family and friends.

This beautiful Claremont, CA home built in 1955 got a wonderful Mid-Century Modern update to the kitchen. The fireplace adjacent to the kitchen was the inspiration for this space. Pure white brick matched with a natural “Dune” stained maple mantle. Opposite the fireplace is a display will donned with matching maple shadowbox shelving. The pure white cabinets are topped with a Cabrini Grey quartz from Arizona Tile, mimicking a combination of concrete and limestone, with a square edge profile. To accent both the countertop and the cabinets we went with brushed gold and bronze fixtures. A Kohler “White Haven” apron front sink is finished with a Delta “Trinsic” faucet in champagne bronze, with matching push button garbage disposal, soap dispenser and aerator. One of the largest changes to the space was the relocating of the plumbing fixtures, and appliances. Giving the stove its own wall, a 30” KitchenAid unit with a stainless steel hood, backed with a stunning mid-century modern rhomboid patterned mosaic backsplash going up to the ceiling. The fridge stayed in the same location, but with all new cabinetry, including an over-sized 24” deep cabinet above it, and a KitchenAid microwave drawer built into the bottom cabinets. Another drastic change was the raising of the ceiling, pulling the height up from 8 foot to 9 foot, accented with crown moldings to match the cabinetry. Next to the kitchen we included a built in accent desk, a built in nook for seating with custom leather created by a local upholsterer, and a built in hutch. Adding another window brought in even more light to a bright and now cheerful space. Rather than replace the flooring, a simple refinish of the wood planks was all the space needed blending the style of the kitchen into the look and feel of the rest of the home. Хозяева квартиры в Краснодаре – молодая семья с ребёнком. Только, встречи с дизайнерами и общение проходили только при участии главы семьи, так как покупка квартиры и сам процесс создания интерьера держались им в строгом секрете. «Наш заказчик хотел преподнести домочадцам роскошный сюрприз, поэтому семья не должна была ничего знать, - вспоминает Ярослав Алдошин. – При этом он максимально детально озвучил все свои предпочтения, что очень помогло нам при проектировании. Основной задачей стало создание лаконичного, технологичного пространства, с нестандартными объемными и конструктивными решениями. Никаких элементов классических стилей, все должно отвечать современным визуальным требованиям о дизайне». Особенностью проекта стало объединение двух квартир площадью 73 и 58 кв. метров. У обоих квартир – хорошие исходные данные: панорамное остекление во всех жилых помещениях, минимальное количество несущих перегородок, высота 2,9 метра, расположение на 21 этаже, что обусловило великолепную изоляцию – комнаты буквально залиты светом. Из минусов: маленькая ванная и очень узкая, вытянутая хозяйская спальня. Для семейного времяпрепровождения дизайнеры организовали объединенную зону гостиной-кухни с большим кухонным островом, увеличили площадь ванной комнаты за счёт нежилой площади, тем самым получив дополнительное пространство для размещения большой душевой и ванны, а также предусмотрели детскую комнату. Недостатки спальни исправили с помощью расстановки мебели (кровать установили по длине комнаты, изголовьем к окну) и переносом стены глубь соседней детской. Благодаря этому, в помещении удалось получить комфортную, хорошо освещенную рабочую зону с полноценным письменным столом, а также установить системы хранения и макияжный столик. При выходе из спален ближайшее помещение — вместительная гардеробная (в ней хранится основной объем вещей), что очень удобно в плане эргономики: хозяевам не нужно метаться по квартире в поисках нужных вещей, на это уходит минимум времени. К слову, алгоритмы передвижения по квартире спроектированы так, что все пути жильцов ведут в гостиную, где каждый сможет заняться своими любимыми делами, от просмотра ТВ до кулинарных поединков и отдыха у камина с книгой в руках». Интерьер построен на контрасте тёплых и холодных цветов, фактур и паттернов. Это создает необходимую динамику и наполняет пространство его смыслами. «Главной нашей задачей было создание тактильного контраста материалов, в котором современный человек нуждается не меньше, чем в цветовом и тональном разнообразии, - объясняет Ярослав, - Так, в общественной зоне мы использовали природные паттерны теплого дерева и холодного камня, нанесённые на крупноформатный керамгранит. «Местом встреч» выступает яркий, красного цвета кухонный остров. Красный цвет выбран не случайно! Василий Кандинский описывал красный как цвет, который производит впечатление почти необъятной мощи. Таким образом мы хотели подчеркнуть характер владельцев квартиры - успешных и сильных духом людей. Остров – главная точка притяжения этого пространства, соседствует с большим диваном из матового приятного на ощупь велюра, изготовленного по нашим эскизам. Обязательным условием было наличие камина в гостиной. Мы выбрали камин на биотопливе, который встроен в инсталляцию, отделанную фактурным кермогранитом и перетекающею в ТВ-зону, декорированную уже гладким керамогранитом. Световые сценарии продуманы, исходя из назначения каждой зоны. Мы предусмотрели разные типы осветительных приборов: технический потолочный свет, направленные светильники, мягкие подсветки в виде бра, торшеров и настольных светильников, создающих обволакивающую атмосферу и интересные световые акценты». Фрагмент гостиной. «Мы не привыкли сильно ориентироваться на моду, ведь она быстро меняется, а хороший интерьер должен быть актуален долгие годы, без этого весь его смысл исчезает, - замечает Елена, - Поэтому работаем на нюансах, на правильном построении колористического решения, светового сценария, очень любим использовать тактильные контрасты. Все это (даже по результатам научных исследований) помогает комфортно находиться в интерьере долгое время и получать от этого удовольствие». Вазы ручной работы. В ванной комнате установлена умная стеклянная перегородка, которая изменяется от прозрачной к полностью непрозрачной Особого внимания в спальне заслуживает тумба-изголовье кровати в виде инсталляции из цветного глубоко-синего стекла, за которой находится хорошо освещённая рабочая зона с письменным столом. «Прозрачный лист стекла установлен в тумбу-изголовье, отделанной декоративной штукатуркой, - объясняет Ярослав, - Внутрь изголовья мы заложили электрические выводы для подключения прикроватных светильников, чтобы все провода были спрятаны и не портили общую картину.
