Alitex Glasshouses
Our client chose Alitex because she felt we were the best, not only in terms of aesthetic but in the quality of the materials, the build and in our attention to detail, culminating in the perfect growing environment.
Her greenhouse creates the perfect growing environment for tropical plants. Our external greenhouse shades prevent her plants from being scorched in the height of summer, and a heating system installed for the winter keeps the temperature steady.

The traditional Victorian aesthetic of our National Trust Collection sits beautifully along from the orangery at the rear of our clients Cape Cod style home.
Wood Sage in colour, the greenhouse is used as a space for growing, as well as a creative outlet to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our client enjoys exploring hobbies like floristry, flower arranging and styling as a mindfulness practice.

We worked with Florence Court, Northern Ireland, on the restoration of the Kitchen Garden back to its former 1930’s glory. Part of the journey was to replace two existing structures, so we designed a Vine house and a Peach house.
The Vine house is used as a community space for events as well as growing tomatoes, aubergines and two lemon trees. The Peach house is used for propagation as well as housing peaches, apricots and nectarines.

We worked closely with Chewton Glen’s Estate Manager Darren Venables, to achieve a greenhouse that is at the heart of their cookery school and garden, showcasing their ‘from plant to plate’ ethos.
As one of the only companies to offer a turn-key service, Alitex were the stand-out choice for Chewton Glen. From creating the perfect design, to providing the building works and base to the installation of the greenhouse and its accessories.
They were impressed with the range of colours on offer and the styles that allowed them to add their own bespoke touch to the final design.

This client wanted her glasshouse to reflect her prize collection of antiques. To use both as a growing environment and a social space. Our Victorian-style glasshouse was the perfect solution for both aspects.

Our clients purchased their fourth Alitex greenhouse, this time a Hidcote, for their garden designed by Chelsea Flower Show favourite Darren Hawkes.
Powder coated in Sussex Emerald’, the Hidcote sits perfectly in this beautiful valley, just a handful of miles from the Atlantic Coast.
The kitchen garden was designed around the Hidcote greenhouse, which included raised borders, built in the same heritage bricks as the base of the greenhouse.

Alitex provided a construction company with a National Trust Scotney Greenhouse, situated beside their wooden slatted garage, with nearby access to the firm’s stunning formal garden.
Our client chose the colour Wood Sage, which blends in perfectly with the garage and surroundings.

When redesigning their estate, our client was looking for a centrepiece for their walled garden to elevate their rewilding project.
With 7 metres of Traditional Benching, there is plenty of space for our clients to grow their favourite Tigerella and Sweet Millions tomatoes ready to make chutney. As well as growing fresh produce to enjoy, our clients wanted this to be a space to relax and enjoy a cup of tea.
The addition of an extra door instead of just one in this cruciform structure creates a more free flowing path through the greenhouse.
