Communication, honesty and transparency is second to none - compared to the other local well renowned Brisbane builders (the ones all over facebook and instagram) Chris was a breath of fresh air. Chris has worked extremely hard with us to realise and deliver our ambitious and challenging (oversized!) project in Clayfield. Right in the thick of unprecedented increasing material prices, rising interest rates and availability of labour and materials - Chris has been in the trenches with us, helping us navigate this volatile time in the construction industry, working closely with us to look at options where we can save money. “Andrew & his team were standouts when we did a complete kitchen demolition & rebuild this year. Debono constructions were contracted to get two rooms ready for the new kitchen which included demolition, building new walls & preparing & resurfacing 80sqms of existing timber flooring. Everything went like clockwork, everyone turned up in a timely manner & when they were meant to. Difficulties always arise when dealing with the old fabric of a building but these were overcome in a creative ways. We cannot praise his carpenter & the flooring specialist enough. Andrew was always available to the trades we’d organised & everyone worked as a team. Great work ethic, great team, great result.”

“I've had the pleasure to use Glen as my builder on my last 2 projects. Glen skills and experience made a big difference to my final outcome . He's old school meaning he is honest , arrives early morning and works an honest day’s work , Every day! He cleans up after himself every day! . He is organised and has very good time management. He does what he says he'll do and is a very good communicator . He was open to discussion and potential changes at any time of the construction. He responds to emails , Replies to phones calls and a very nice guy. His product is very good and he's a wonderful builder ! He could be the last of his kind and he's right here in Brisbane . From our first meeting, Dwain was great to deal with, friendly, listened to what we were after and our concerns (we were building in Brisbane whilst living in Sydney), accommodating and provided valuable feedback on all aspects given this was our first build. All the specifications and price of the build were laid out from the beginning and Dwain took the time to talk through all our questions in detail (thanks for your patience!) to make sure we were comfortable with everything and to ensure there were no surprises. All the inclusions were of a high standard. The build itself was seamless, we were provided regular updates on the progress of the build and there were no delays from the original timetable. What sets Hezzelic apart is the quality of finishes and the pride Dwain, Shane and the team take in their work. Just a tiny example, during the build, Dwain noticed the way we had the front door swing in the plans didn’t flow well practically, he called us to discuss this, and amended the plan for the door accordingly. It is the little details like this that you miss when you are not on site but that we were grateful that the Hezzelic team took the time to think of and address during the build process. Dwain, Shane and the team have great attention to detail and take pride in their finishes, when we did the walk through for handover, they picked out defects that we missed and had them all fixed prior to us moving in.
