External privacy screen solutions?
Comments (15)Hi Gioenne. Not really. We purchased "advanced" Lilly Pillies for along the back of the fence. They're about the same height as the fence (1.8m). We've also been keeping the interior blinds partially lowered / closed. At the moment, we don't have any outdoor furniture so privacy while relaxing or entertaining outside hasn't been a big problem. Once we have purchased some outdoor furniture we'll re-evaluate the situation depending upon how much the Lilly Pillies have grown. With all of the other "new home" expenses, we'll probably just entertain in full view of our neighbours!...See MorePlease help me with solutions for Stacker door reveal too width and to
Comments (2)I wonder why they did this? Particularly the floor. They have created a really nice trip hazard. Was the sub floor not level? I think you have limited options to fix this. You don't want to increase your entire floor level to match it. You will likely need to remove and re-install the stackers. I guess it will depend on the architectural detail on your plans, as to who pays for this. I think paint will resolve problem 1....See MoreSolutions needed for my off-centered basin
Comments (18)There certainly can be legitimate functional reasons/purpose for basins to be required set appropriately in relation to the wall to suit the selected wall spout setup, and having experience with similar details the spout length chosen can determine the basin position and does need to be a certain length to work properly. Sometimes this requires adjustment of basin size and bench depth. In this case something's clearly happened.....without understanding the company's particular processes my guess is that the bench depth larger than what it should be. It's your home/investment, you have to live with it long term. IMO what differentiates (great from ordinary) builders is their capacity to resolve issues and shoulder responsibility when something like this occurs. Believe me they (should) have enough fat built in the profit margins to resolve these types of issues. The good news is you actually have a physical example you can refer to in the company's display home. If required go and measure it and compare it to yours to be 100% sure - in custom/boutique situations clients don't have that luxury/back-up check. Try not to play or get drawn into a "blame" game, or accept lame excuses (which the industry is expert in ;) ), it doesn't matter exactly how it went wrong, the main thing is you want to get it right/resolved. Stick to your guns ;)...See MoreSolutions needed to family bathroom layout to maximise space
Comments (10)Annb1997. Thanks for your suggestions. I don't think I need a heated towel rack if have a central heating radiator. A hanging rack would go above this perhaps too but also near the shower. In my lomg experience of CH the towels dry off fine in winter this way. In summer also when radiator not on if the window is open. I really do not like sliding doors on showers so have to find a solution with a 1000mm square shower with door. I have spent two hours today in a showroom looking at all possible combinations. Clearance is insufficient with certain size fixtures as you state with the vanity in the new position. So my homework tonight was choose from all the possible variations that we determined would work. Wish me luck!!...See Moremldesign0401
