Comments (6)Why wouldn't you use a front balcony? It looks very private and depending on the aspect and your view , it would be a great spot for a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening. As you may have guessed we are building a new home with a front balcony! We have views of a park and distant bay and being a northerly aspect it will be great all year round. I think the problem is the heavy look of the balustrade. A modern update here could give you a beautiful outdoor space- don't brick it in....See MoreWhat should we do with this room
Comments (4)So you could have a sofa (two or three person depending on size of room) under the window and a single chair facing in just partly in front of the french doors. Or a couple of small side tables instead of the single chair. Really depends on whether you want to be sitting and reading on chairs or meditating on floor? Alternatively if the room is large enough you could face a sofa directly out towards the french doors and a single in the corner....See MoreHelp! Comments (13)I have a 13,18,20 years old..you really need a separate living area for them to hang out..in a different part of the house..that way they don't disturb the adults. i wouldn't do it as an extension or part of living area..when they are little it's hard as you need to keep an eye on them been there done that.. when they are older it's a case of not only containing their mess..their rowdiness..noise..friends our apartment is divided into 2 ..kids bedrooms their bathroom and study, mezzanine in the front. our bedroom kitchen and living area out the back as the entrance to the apartment is out the back ..they need to go past our bedroom to sneak out.....See MoreWhat should we do with this room?
Comments (24)Target has some nice (cat safe) cane look chairs at the moment at very reasonable prices. I’d pop two in the space to create a natter nook. Apart from art be careful not to chose too many small accessories first. I know it’s tempting because they cost less but unless you have a definitive plan I.e a hanging chair for the future layout, you need to get the big stuff first because the look can evolve....See MoreDytecture
