I think you have a great beginning. The first layer is in, but it feels cold and clinical, very generic. So here are a few ideas. 1- English Country- add indigo blue and light blue and mid tone blue for a classic blue and white scheme. Use a few soft pink roses or peonies for a warm accent. Floral landscapes over the furniture. 2-Italian Contemporary-add a red and black striped rug, black and white framed photos, red pillows, black accents in lamps, coffee table, and place mats. 3- all white look, add highly textured white rug, white accessories , black and white photos and a fresh flower bouquet of wild colors that change weekly. Very opulent boudoir you have created! I think you could handle my suggestion, so here goes. The bed head rest against a perfectly framed wall by the windows, although I think you could amp it up to the next level. I'm sure you've heard of Versailles hall of mirrors, if not look it up, I think you'd like it. My suggestion is along those lines. Install a thin timber bead, creating a square panel above your bed, and wallpaper the inside of the panel in a damask looking wallpaper, perhaps with the peacock damask colour. These timber moldings are inexpensive, and could really create a stunning and elegant interior detail, which could easily be applied to each wall in your bedroom. Alternatively you could upholster a panel above your bed with diamond buttoning, which looks studded, in a peacock velvet with brass studs around the inside of the moulding. An upholsterer could do this on a simple sheet of ply for you, or I would do this myself with a staple gun, spray adhesive and wadding (Dacron). Select your fabric, and trim the edges with your studs or a cord rope etc. Fix it to your wall in a multitude of ways, like split battens, or a secured wire strap as heavy artworks have, make sure your wall hooks are capable of the boards weight, and voila!

Hi Without knowing what it looks like, I am assuming you are talking about a flat edge finish being visible? We try to create a corner to finish into. Either a small nib or box out designed to look like it was meant to be there like below Or a feature trim eg timber or other item that suits the rest of the decor. Cheers

Hi Steve, you should be able to find a round or oval coffee table with enough space for nibbles and drinks if you also include one or two side tables. I'd probably look at two side tables to give you the extra landing space you're after, one between the two lounges and another next to the lounge closest to the hall/walkway area. But if that doesn't look quite right they are can be easily moved into another position. Keep the permanent decor items on the coffee table to a minimum with a view to moving them to the buffet when entertaining if need be as you fill the table with nibbles and drinks and perhaps something with a small footprint like a bud vase to add height to your nibbles tray(s) display. And yes, nested tables could work really well. Enjoy :)
