sounds exciting but i wonder if bugs would move into the space behind the glass and what would you use on the floor? i have seen a whole bathroom including the shower done very successfully with a render used for swimming pools and usually painted but this one was just plain concrete colour with a slatted timber floor mat in the shower, timber vanity, white toilet and handbasin and it was gorgeous, good luck with you tile free shower

I'm not a fan of shower over bath either but agree sometimes for some people it's the best solution. The makeover is beautiful. Two things, just in my opinion. I always wish for a grab rail when using a shower over a bath, as I sometimes do in hotels. I felt that way even when younger and more agile. Surely there could be a way of installing something to hold onto when stepping in and out without it looking like a nursing home? I suppose in a bathroom such as that shown I would hold onto the towel rail. I've always wondered about vessel basins that slope inwards, is it a problem for cleaning behind them?

I work for a video production company and we are looking for a bathroom that is in need of a small renovation in the SYDNEY CITY area for an upcoming project. (Images below are a before/after of a recent makeover we did in a similar vein) We would work with the owner of the residence and our professional stylist to give the bathroom a makeover at a very low or no cost to the owner. The apartment or house MUST have two bathrooms (the work will take place over two or three days, meaning the bathroom will be out of action for that period of time). The apartment or house would also need a small amount of car parking space. The renovation will be a light touch renovation (NO REPLUMBING OR STRUCTURAL WORK). My vote for above too. Leave shower where it is and use glass to open up the room. Yes there are buildings restrictions for near a window, they mainly come under waterproofing and the “spray” area. You can Google the code but not the Standard “The Building Code of Australia and Australia Standard 3740-2010 require that you waterproof the floor and shower recess at least 150mm inside shower walls, 1800mm up any vertical angles in the shower and 100m or more over the step down onto the bathroom floor. However, it's recommended that you go beyond the bare minimums to ensure that your bathroom is well protected.”
