I agree with ctwalker, if you paint the inside of your front door white it will blend with the inside of your house especially as the door is in your lounge. On the outside a stain will look great and if you keep a path going to your front door people won't have trouble wondering where to go. All the work your doing looks fantastic keep up the good work :)

Side lights for sure and a straight door like To find and design pictured but I'd use clear glass, because the door is recessed which creates the privacy. Paint it white and at the same time paint the balustrade white to feature it again as was the idea when it was designed and return the front patio to red which I guess would be the original colour. Changing these great houses from original and think they look better is like getting an original XP falcon and putting a spoiler on the back because a spoiler looks good on a Porsche.

Do a horizontal wider board slat fence. You could still do it in Monument. The fine vertical batons look great but will date very quickly I suspect.

Hi Jo, a brick path would look great leading to your beautiful your decking, corten steel edging would look beautiful to separate garden from lawn, be creative on shape of path as this will give more options in planting each sides creating a beautiful walkway.
