It's all in the planning, get the floor levels right and you will never have a problem. I've done 4 bathrooms like this, all in small areas with only a 900 or 1000 screen. 1800 wide is pretty wide, as the screen goes in last, I would suggest that you re access at the end. You do get a bit of spray in front but it all drains back, if you have a door, the water drips off both you and the door when you get out. Another thing to consider is super easy maintenance. Quick scrape with a squeegee, easier to mop, no runners to trap dirt and mould.

Use post its on paint work that needs fixing. Take photos of the wall with post its on. Check tiling and use post its again. Turn on each tap and check there are no leaks. Check power points are not loose and plug something in each to make sure they work. Check sliding doors slide properly and all windows open smoothly. Check seals around windows. Use a candle inside with the window shut to check air coming through. Any decking check nails are phnched in or screws level. Check all doirs open smoothly and handles are not loose. Check inslation is in roof. You should have checked walls as you went. Make sre there are nio squeaks in the floor if you are two storey. Check smooth operation of roller door. Check for bubbles in polished floors. Good luck - an exciting time.

Hey Nik Star, I've had a PowerPoint play with oklouise's edits. This is what I meant about garage entry to the pantry and a laundry in the garage. The red arrows are to stipulate to the builder that level access is required. I added extra garage depth to allow for the garage, that would definitely impact your facade elevation. If you remove the wall between the butler's pantry and mudroom you would have a SUPER PANTRY! But a true butler's pantry in that it was supposed to be where you would land with the veg from the garden so you would kick your shoes off inside the door, so I've noted a little bench seat there, then head in and wash it before heading over to the actual cooking area. Then if you get rid of the sliders and reduce the storage to shallow shelving on the middle wall you would have plenty of space to manoeuvre with mobility devices. For the washing labour machines - washer, dryer, dishy - try getting those mounted on plinths so the load on your poor back is reduced. I have dodgy joints so I am researching all the ergonomic ways to design work spaces to help me when I get to the awesome stage you guys are at with getting to build!

My walk in was well over a metre deep and width was a couple of metres to the wall. The glass screen was a metre and a bit so there was no splashing into the room. The shower came off the end wall same as the pic however it was one of those variable height showers on a rod, I have no doubt the shower in the pic will be splashing into the room which would drive me nuts. Mine looked great, so open, neat, big, except the floor hadn't been layed properly so instead of the water going toward the drain under the shower head it went all over the bathroom, nearly 3 metres out right down to the loo creating a massive puddle in front of the vanity as well. Getting it sorted with the builder was nightmare I eventually gave up and ended up having a low barrier installed from glass to wall. It still looked fine and stopped the problem but one really has to ensure the floor angle is done properly before embarking on the walk-in shower exercise.
