Need help with celing finish for entry
Comments (15)Beautiful Are you up for a red front door? I like the nimbus gray exterior house with white trim, too. Gray & white also looks good with touches of brick (chimney, or landscape) and touches of black wrought iron (lights, fences, decorative railing). A tree with red leaves can also enhance (miniature red maple?) Comments (22)I think you have a great beginning. The first layer is in, but it feels cold and clinical, very generic. So here are a few ideas. 1- English Country- add indigo blue and light blue and mid tone blue for a classic blue and white scheme. Use a few soft pink roses or peonies for a warm accent. Floral landscapes over the furniture. 2-Italian Contemporary-add a red and black striped rug, black and white framed photos, red pillows, black accents in lamps, coffee table, and place mats. 3- all white look, add highly textured white rug, white accessories , black and white photos and a fresh flower bouquet of wild colors that change weekly. White textured placemats changing...See MoreFoyer/Entry: need help finishing!
Comments (13)I agree with the other comments the entry would look much nicer without the artificial flowers and pots. I would add a console table with mirror above as they can be both beautiful and useful. The table could be a mix of iron and wood and the mirror framed in iron which would be in keeping with your Tuscan theme. On the table I would place a small bowl or box for keys (house and car) and a vase were you can display perfumed flowers like lilies which will naturally perfume your entry (the also last a good 2-3 weeks and aren't that expensive. If not possible to have fresh flowers all the time then a glass vase filled with lemons, limes or oranges or even some branches with leaves still on will suit your Tuscan style. A chandelier would be lovely and I would suggest a rustic carriage black iron style which would tie in with the border tiles on the floor. I don't think you need an area rug as the tiles already have a border. I love a black front door but I don't think the inside of the door needs to be black so I would leave it white. On the wall opposite the front door I would place a collection of four, six or eight (depending on frame size) pictures of Tuscany in black frames with white matt. It is a lovely entry and it should be inviting and give guests a place to check their appearance before they enter your home. Hope you find these suggestions helpful....See MoreNeed help to finish the living room
Comments (7)Black & white, always a good starting point but your room needs some personality now. Anchor the space with a soft grey textured or patterned rug - Armadillo have some great textured designs, but make sure its large enough to go under the sofa. Add some nesting tables with mirror tops to the side of the sofa, more graphic prints alongside the existing one (with some solid colour and vary the sizes), a fab floor lamp with some wow factor, more plump cushions in grey and white and a statement easy chair. Why not consider an old art deco chair (see photo) and have it recovered it an art deco inspired print that reflects your personality? ....See Moreelklaker
