The blue is a great color. But why one wall. Accent walls almost always look like "accident walls." Changing wall colors chops up the room and makes it look smaller. Put some olive green with that wonderful blue. Your room needs a theme. The best way to create a theme is with a fabric that has your blue and other colors. The window placement is also off putting. I would center the bed under one of the windows and put a tall open headboard possibly iron on the bed. If you don'[t have room for night tables put a shelf or slender skirted table between the head of the bed and the window. you will be able to reach through the headboard to access alarm clocks books ect. see ganttsdecorating.com portfolio-before and after for that type of arrangement.. I have this colour on walls and have similar tone in carpet and while I didn't choose it it has proved very versatile. I have used a different schemes in each room including the following. lavender blue and gold /mustard pumpkin and green Black, white and cherry red teal and burnt orange and mustard and black, copper. duck egg and cream Look at the Resene whites and neutrals chart for other neutral tones.

The idea of black chairs is growing on me -knowing I will have to dust more often.yikes. I love this piece of fabric(fresh and clean) and was wondering if it would work as toppers or should I be bringing color from counters up to top of window. Could I add a counter color to this fabric as in a button etc? if so would navy accents work here or would it be better to have lime, turquoise, red?
