Can not live with existing kitchen anymore!

We have an old house which one day we would like to knock down. But in the mean time we can not live with the existing kitchen anymore.
We have an open plan living space that also doubles up as a dinning and study and music etc. this leads to the kitchen which is narrow but has a wall dividing it through the middle.

On the other side of this wall is our old laundry. We have recently relocated this outside with the intention of knocking the wall down. The old laundry leads to our back garden where we spend most of our time.
Ideally we would love a kitchen design that maximises space, storage and possibly includes a clever dinning combo. On top of this we would like to take advantage of linking the kitchen to the out doors.
We can't take any more space from the outside.

I would love your opinions and or sketches
A plan of the house from the realestate is available [below]

Please note the fireplace is no longer there hence the open plan living.
We do have a tight budget as I don't want to over capitalise on something we will knock down. But the knock down rebuild plan is in 10 years. I'm happy with a clean functional kitchen. I just need to get the structure right to maximise our needs.
On top of that we have three young children so you can imagine our needs.
It's a challenge and I look forward to your comments.
