Comments (8)Thanks for your reply, we definitely need to get some more ventilation happening around the house. The house has concrete paths right around so I imagine that wouldn't help either. The column near the steps is a planter box which I really love but not sure if it will survive if we have to remove the concrete slab....See MoreHi I am hoping you can help me with front porch design. Comments (1)best decision would be to incorporate any changes for the entry with the upstairs renovation .please post photo of the new upstairs and roof and what do you plan for the front yard, fence and driveway?...See MoreWhat to do with unused front porch?
Comments (4)I would start by dressing the wall. A large decorative metal screen or mural would provide a welcoming backdrop. It would be great if you could get some colour onto or in front of deck. You would have to look at shad loving plants at your local nursery. Even though you don’t use the deck, a welcoming bench seat and a large colour pot or two would help liven it up, if anything just a place to sit and put on shoes or drop umbrellas....See MoreFront porch ideas
Comments (10)Just as a matter of interest , which parts have you painted white ? A photo would be good haha . I hate painted driveways -- I think they look artifical and tacky , they can peel and look even worse -- I can't think of a positive personally . I'd waterblast or chemical clean ( DIY or get a pro ) and even if not perfect , it has character ! When that 'character' turns to cracks and weeds growing through and puddles then you dig up and re-do , or resurface in some cases , but I'm not a fan of resurfacing either . In other words , I think the driveway isn't too bad -- I could even live with the existing tiles if all the feature fittings were white . Yes , I know , they are slippery and you say cracked -- the bits I can see they look like they'd last a couple more years ? To me , I'd be more inclined to change the garage doors ( or paint if tidy enough ) before I did those tiles , but you know their condition , and your priorities and budget ....See Morechloebud
