Your first step needs to be to establish your budget.
Then list the items you want to fix in priority order. Note that some renovations will be a LOT easier to do before you move in, and others will be easy to do afterwards.
Externally - I would remove the front retaining wall and replace with limestone. I would consider replacing windows and making them larger too and redesigning the front to create a more inviting and obvious entrance.
Internally - the big ticket items are always kitchens and bathrooms and these are much easier to do before you move in. Retiling the main living area would make a big difference as would a repaint and new window furnishings.
We could go on....but I am guessing that as it is a new home your budget will be limited.
Best of luck, it is an exciting time in your life!
For quick fix while you save, you can paint the cabinets a white or light grey for a modern look and change the pulls if you are going for that look. White- cabinet restore or rustoleum makes great paint for cabinets and counters.
Change tile or clean grout and seal....you can always put area rugs after to ground different area usage.
Must must change light fixtures and fans to updated ones...it ages the look of the house. Faucets as well unless the bathrooms need updating....go for it...
Remove the honeycomb frame from the windows.
Paint the retaining wall neutral if you want, however you need some flowers in front of it....plants in general ( low maintenance )
Paint is always the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to update a tired home. As much as I agree limestone bricks would look better out the front, a cheaper option would be to paint that wall a dark colour and then plant some shrubs in front of it on the lower ground level and also plant out along the top of the wall with plants that will grow and spill over the edge of the wall to cover it a bit. You have a major win with all of the tall trees already well established around your property!
Internally the kitchen is a very personal choice and it is a bit hard to comment without knowing budget but I agree with the other comments for the living area that a new coat of paint, new light/fan fixtures and a big area rug would make the world of difference... and get rid of the vertical blinds. Best of luck to you!
I agree with the comment about the front entrance. If you could make the entrance a double door between the two pillars it would be a grand entrance The retaining wall and garden there are a few options other than limestone even painting and re-jigging the garden could make a huge impact new turf stairs up to new entrance Light seems to be an issue as well change Windows sizes paint and lay new flooring timber laminate looks good way cheaper than real timber Kitchen is a big one worth spending money on a good one always adds value to house first thing people look at when buying kitchen bathrooms Good luck
