I think the colour used on these cabinets is great. This is a colour which is unlikely to unsettle anyone who sees it and is teamed with very neutral walls and furnishings. This room looks modern, with a little retro or Scandinavian twist.I believe that if you really love a particular colour, why not use it as a colour block on cabinets. Just keep the main elements in the room neutral and the accent colours to a minimum, like the orange accent used here.

Hi I think it depends on you as a family and whether you want to make a statement or be more subtle. It also depends on what your decor is like inside, don’t forget your front entrance should be the entree to what you would expect to see inside. The colour you choose needs to be bold and high gloss, nothing that matches the facade as it will just disappear. You could look at adding colour through plants and pots if you choose a more conservative colour like piano black.

I would pick one of the colours out of the bricks. I think lighter rather than darker so the house doesn't look top heavy. When you factor in the whole cost of the extension, paying a colour consultant could be well worth the money. I have added a single story cladded extension to my brick house. The colour consultant was well worth the money. For me, I didn't want it to look like I was pretending the cladding was brick, so went for a colour that complemented the brick rather than blending in. A lot of new houses have cladding bumpouts included in the new build as a feature, I think this is a good look that you could go for. The extension as a feature rather than try to disguise it.
