Need help with my ISLAND BENCH please.................................

Hi all, I need to come up with a decision this week on my island bench. I will no longer have the sink on it, so it will just be used for eating. I would LOVE some opinions on which island bench I should choose out of these 2.
Left one - Can fit more people around it
Right one - People will sit in a straight line, like at a bar! Noone can sit on other side or at and ends!
I'm thinking the one on the left is more practical and maybe looks more modern?

The standard height for benchtops is 900mm from finished floor level. this has been the standard height for near on 100 years. Now, the issue is that over the last 100 years, the human race as a whole has increased in height. Even a small increase in bench height can have a huge impact on the usability of the kitchen. Comments (14)We would recommend using the same timber as the floor if you can. This would make sense and keep your material palette as simple as possible - there are some fantastic timber finishing treatments available that will provide a durable surface that is easy to maintain. Less chance of kids hitting their head or adults hitting their hip on corners.
