I love the mirror splash back, especially if you have a view you can see in the reflection. My aunt has one in her home in Balmoral. GORGEOUS view!!
I am considering the same question. My major concern is how quickly the mirror finish could damage in the context of a coastal location. It is VERY expensive to replace, but mirrors do get damaged - but maybe not when suck against a wall.
Advice / experience / recommendation much appreciated.
If you do a google search, the mirrors they use in splashbacks are commercial grade and are very strong - designed to be used behind gas cooktops, don't get dirty and don't smear - Not the same as regular mirrors ;)
Good to know. I am particularly concerned that the reflective surface does not become crazed / degraded behind the glass (appearance of antique mirror)
