What colour shall I paint my house?

Am in the process of having my guttering and down pipes replaced and figure I should leverage the scaffolding that's already erected (and paid for!)...so have decided to paint my house...but what colour?
Background Info:
1. Am not changing the black colour of the french door and window trims
2. The house gets full sun and so will likely fade over time (as it has already done so with the current colour)
3. The pool and surrounds is Himalayan sandstone (white/cream coloured stone)
4. Pool is deep blue fully tiled
Appreciate advice!

Comments (10)With the style of the house, I would leave the door as it is or paint it white. If you'd love a pop of colour, maybe you can put a couple of white chairs with bright-coloured cushions. Comments (14)I hear you, being a mum is a big job & not for the faint-hearted, hehe. That was sweet of your husband to do all that for you. As your ceilings and skirting and architraves are white, maybe a fresh white would really lift the whole house. There are many shades so my advice is to visit your local paint store and look at the whites. Hopefully, you will be able to narrow it down to a few. Of course, other colours might appeal to you as well, so just see what takes your fancy. Also, have you looked through the kitchen and living room Houzz photos to see if any particular room colours appeal to you? 8 years agoHi Linda, thinking about your new colours if you are game you could have a look at something like this colour. It is 1/2st Roman Ochre by Porters Paints but i am sure if you require a standard paint finish most paint manufactures
