We have a glass rangehood similar to Futuro Futuro's Acqualina Glass product and I love it. The top and bottom of the glass gets given a clean about once a week with citrus multi-purpose cleaning spray and then wiped down with a moistened glass cleaning cloth for a pristine finish. Takes around 5 minutes in total. Cleaning the brushed stainless part is more difficult. As mentioned previously, its hard to remove all the marks. Will definately try the WD40. Me, personally, I don't like the mirrored finish. Given the window is acting as the "splashback" I would have gone for something invisible like what Sheryl Horton showed.

Thanks for the suggestion, LesleyH, but actually wanting it for the practical stuff I'd like to get out of sight (electric toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc). We like the simplicity of a mirror along the full length.

You would be best to talk to an expert like the Clever Closet Company who have lots of good reviews on Houzz. As soon as you start to look at plywood construction the costs go up. This is the case when you start to talk about large panels, such as end panels and doors, as standard plywood is more susceptible to warping with changes in moisture. You would also be looking at the premium appearance grade plywood where the surface veneer is knot-free and perfect. If plywood was a good and cost-effective material for walk-in-robe fitouts then there would be more cabinetmakers happy to build them. Like most clients your wish list exceeds your budget and you will have to make some compromises. You can buy mirrored shaving cabinets of various widths and heights from many outlets, and even on ebay. The crucial thing is to ensure that the edge of a door isn't centered on the vanity basin otherwise your reflection will always have a "crack" down the middle of your face. You should also consider wall lighting as ceiling lights often put your face's reflection in shadow. In this photo the middle door of three is centred over the vanity basin to avoid the issue.
