Planted golden palms and when they grow it will create privacy. Now trying to figure out if whether we should make a garden bed across. Any suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated. :)
Hi yazmin92, golden cane palms grow about 4m-6m tall and their leaves are eventually 2m-3m long so I don't think you've got enough room to create a permanent garden bed. Maybe plant some annuals until the palms are established? After that I think it would be too shady and there'd be too much competition from the palms' roots to grow anything else.
Have you considered planting outside your fence with the golden canes. (Hardy enough to re-position) Councils don't usually mind. Privacy with visual depth to them and then you can plant something more fun in your small garden space without the issue of palm roots stealing all the nutrients, A flowering vine on your mesh fence would be the fastest privacy screen.
