Need Help For My Kitchen Sink...?
Comments (14)I would go for an under mount double sink, simply my personal preference for look and most importantly easier to clean/wipe around straight into the sink without bits getting caught... as for chips, we chose a Franke sink that was a "real double" sink big enough to fit a fairly large pot which comes with a drain tray... some "double" sinks are more like one & a half so do your research... also on chips, a lot of it has to do with the bench top and not necessarily the sink, as much as I have a contemporary/modern taste I have gone against all odds and chosen a stone top with pencil edge, simply because the I've seen so many chipped square edge stone tops at family & friends who have built or renovated in recent years, although more popular and in trend, they now wished they went with a pencil edge which doesn't chip as easily... but again personal preference, so go for what you like and what works for you and it will look great and you're bound to love it! Good luck :)...See MoreKitchen sinks - undermounted or with drainer
Comments (7)I have heard some have encountered the chipping issue in the past, but I wonder to what extent... in the end, like with anything else, it also depends on whether you handle things with care or not... note however that although square edge stone bench tops has been been more popular of late, they also chip more easily... and for that reason a lot of ppl are reverting to the pencil edge which doesn't chip as easily... I believe you can achieve a contemporary with both... good luck...See MoreSink dilemma- black or white (undermount) black bench top
Comments (9)I would go matt stainless steel, it will match any other silver or chrome in the kitchen (cupboard handles;tap; toaster etc). I've been looking at double bowl stainless undermount sinks and thought the Blanco essential U2 model was pretty nice (and about 788mm). good luck!...See More1800 wide double vanity
Comments (3)we think you mean 1800 mm wide (left to right) and 460 mm deep (ie front to back?) why not make a newspaper paper cut out for the sizes you're considering and then add different size and shaped basins to see how it feels ...one important point to consider is not only would a deeper basin have more counter space which is usually good, it will also use up floor space which can make a HUGE difference for opening doors and architraves around doorways and for shower entry and standing and walking room so check the size and shape of the room first and then see how everything fits together although i'm hoping that if you are aiming for an 1800mm wide vanity that the room will be quite generous...btw if you like curves you may like to consider having a vanity cabinet made with curved edges as well as adding a curved sink...See MoreDytecture
