Thank you everyone! I love how it turned out. Pictures don’t do it justice. The stone is granite, fantasy brown. We had it professionally painted. Not sure on what color gray. The contractor brought us samples and we just picked one. They glazed them with a darker gray to bring out the grain of the oak.

Hi 1991_kid, though this image may be a render, the stone tops do represent an actual material. You may like to look at the Natural Stone type called Quartzite. Quartzite comes in smaller slab sized that Granite and Man Made Quartz Reconstituted stone slabs and it is very hard (unlike marble) and comes in a variety of different colours. Quartzite stone slabs do come in various types of Grey and does come in a type that has a formation which looks similar to your image. Perhaps something like the Atlantic Stone Quartzite or the Taj Mahal Quartzite or the Grey Cristallo Extra Quartzite. Hope this is of help, Malcolm

Hi HU-826087018 and dreamer To try and clear up this situation as there is some wrong or unclear advice being offered here. First, as LOL S said correctly Gas Regulations require 200mm clearance away from any combustible material from the outer edge of the Burner. Secondly "Stone" is not the same as "Reconstituted Stone" where natural stone is not combustible so the clearance regulation here does not apply, however Reconstituted Stone (like Caesarstone, etc, etc) are combustible because these materials contain combustible polymer resins to bind the pulped-up stone particles together, hence the name "Reconstituted Stone".Caesarstone and other types of Reconstituted Stone will burn so it needs to be 200mm away from the Gas Burner, irrespective of the type of wall behind it dreamer. So to try and alleviate your stress HU-826087018 and determine if you have a problem, you need to ask if your splashback is Natural Stone or is it Reconstituted Stone and if it is Reconstituted Stone then you have a problem that your Builder needs to rectify immediately.
