King or Queen for the Master Bedroom?
Comments (25)I personally love a king size in a master but they can look too big in some rooms. This may be the case here too, especially with your chosen bed. However as long as you have enough room to move around it you will be comfortable in that regard. If you were to go king I would suggest looking at a bed with just a bed head or a separate bed head with ensemble as this will not dominate the room room to much and make it feel smaller. Then find side tables that are floating or light in structure with open legs so you can see through to the wall. Good luck...See MoreNeed your ideas for small master bedroom
Comments (25)I really like these [bed side tables[(https://www.houzz.com.au/photos/north-seminary-contemporary-chicago-phvw-vp~13970763) which are bespoke although too large for my room. Anything similar, but not as wide, in Australia..ideally Melbourne?...See MoreShould master bed or Study have the garden view and north aspect?
Comments (24)I think it depends on the household and the time of day that the rooms are used. What your instinct says about what most people look for in a house is a good view from the master is irrelevant, as this is your house so it has to be right for your household. Unless you are planning to build it and flip it in the short term then what other people think doesn't matter. A master bedroom, which is mostly used at night, doesn't need views or sunlight, unless you are overlooking a nighttime view, such as Sydney Harbour (which I don't think you are). A house with more views and northern light to shared, common areas often feels better than if these assets are exclusive and restricted to two family members. If a study is to be used by a professional adult during the day then make the most of the views and northern light with good separation from kitchen/dining. If the study is going to be used by kids to do homework and cruise the internet then having it adjacent to the kitchen for supervision is probably a better solution. best of luck with your considerations, Dr Retro of Dr Retro House Calls/Dr Retro Virtual Visits...See MoreHelp with deciding room proportions
Comments (60)Amazing thanks! The back bit is 4m those internal arrows, like the 3.3 one you are talking about, was that feature I mentioned that allowed me to measure some distances, like sofa to wall for example. The measurements on the outside are all the right ones. Sorry thought I explained the internal arrows just being reference for me for walking room ect. And to show what I would have left if stools were pulled out. Ah yes, I Did think of putting the powder in the hall but hadn’t thought of gaining the robe so the master wasn’t so small. Thank you :)...See Morescottevie
