The tile was from DalTile, 2x2 glazed ceramic mosaic with dark grey Laticrete grout. The color blend was selected by the interior designer, and she's retired now... Not sure if I could track down the exact colors! <g> The tiles were set individually by the installer to achieve what you see; they weren't provided in pre-backed sheets. As I recall, there were at least five different colors included in the blend. Hope that helps some! Thanks for your compliments on the work!
Funny - I was just the other day at the Daltile showroom on East 21st Street in NYC. Thank you so much for the thorough reply - yes, it was helpful. I don't think I have the stomach to have someone individually set such small tile with the hope that it come out looking as perfect though!
jleit, Don't worry - tile setters do that sort of thing all the time. 2 inch tiles are a reasonable size to set individually. Get some references for your tile people, and the better ones should have no problem. It will cost a bit extra, though. Best wishes on your project!
