What's your favourite Christmas Carol/Song?
Comments (19)While John Lennon's Happy Xmas(War Is Over) is still my favourite, Holly Jolly Christmas sung by Burl Ives always puts me in Christmas cheer. Also, Carol of the Bells deserves a mention....See MoreYour favourite linen colours for your bedroom?
Comments (15)Unfortunately susan_ 66 there is colour is psychologically and historically related either way, and dark blues re more often not considered masculine when building an interior. I worked in a design centre where much time was spent picking apart colour association, and used it to help market the products in imagery. There are feminine blues ofcourse, but my comment specifically mentioned indigo and low chroma colours, which are toned. With black and greys, and I used the phrase 'added masculinity' referring to the boldness and strength of colour they bring to soft and delicate colours of blush and peach. Just from that you can see how colour is associated, bold and strength= male, and soft and delicate = female. it is what it is. In my example, ie an interior, I meant it to be masculine. Baby blue I wouldn't have thought was masculine, but is a gender specific typically only when there are two options. Pink or blue!...See MoreYour favourite storage ideas?
Comments (23)@wuff -- I bought mine a few months ago while on a trip to the USA. It wasn't on holiday and had limited shopping time, which left me with empty luggage space to fill :-). I visited a discount/surplus items store and got them cheap! I'd been looking for months for some, but nothing I saw here came close to the heavy-quality metal of the ones I bought. They're made by a company called Seville Classics. Here's a link to their website page: https://www.sevilleclassics.com/kitchen_counter_top_organizer Following my return to Oz, I emailed the company enquiring about availability in Australia. I never received a reply. Much to my surprise, I recently discovered that Howards Storage World is now selling them. Here's the link: http://www.hsw.com.au/index.php?product&id_prod=6558&id_cat=106&id_dept=510#.VcDbmSkbA5s The one available at HSW is as shown in my earlier photos and is different to the ones I have. I'm not sure if the thickness of the metal is the same. Kind of hard to tell when I didn't have mine with me at HSW. Items are so much easier to access than if they were stacked. Best part is that others in the house have no excuse about putting items back into these organising racks. Here's a link showing the Seville products being sold by HSW. http://www.hsw.com.au/?product=&search=seville&op=search_products&x=0&y=0...See MoreShow us your toilet signs!
Comments (3)No signs in mine. Just a blank space waiting for inspiration. Growing up, we had a times tables chart on the door. We also had an rickety outhouse loo on the property next to an old house. We had a black and yellow road style sign on that. I think it read "Next dunny 500km" or something like that. While this (below) isn't a sign exactly, it still might prove amusing. Especially if users come up with appropriate theme music. Hopefully they'd tickle the ivories rather then tinkle them. http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0231/8799/products/59c2bcaf095fbfe6b7d208aab8813054d1616d91_large.jpeg?v=1428559248...See MoreLuke Buckle
