To help see the space a bit better, I've taken out the wine rack and replaced it, temporarily, with a shelf (that was in a different part of the house) that matches the one holding the water filter (the second shelf is to hold our phone and modem - again, due to a small house, it's really the only place the phone and modem can live). Plus, I've extended the table so that I could get a feel for the size table the area could potentially accommodate, now that the wine rack isn't there. The size of the table with the extension is: 1800 x 840. Ignore the look of the current table - regardless of whether we go banquette seating or not, we would like to change the table and perhaps a pedestal table would be best so that it makes it easier to get to the seats at the back. By the way I noticed that when I look at this post on my iPad I don't see all the photos I included like I do when looking at it on my laptop. Hopefully the photos I've included show okay for others looking at this. Thank you.

Inner dimensions are about 44cm deep x 151cm long. It’s about 170cm long in total. It is a mid quality acrylic one from the local Tradelink. It was a bit of a hassle to get the salesman to pull out every brochure specification so I could check the depth, he tried to tell me that they were all similar. The interior is quite square-ish so it holds a lot of water. Too long ago to remember brand sorry. But it’s lasted well for about 10 years with heavy use and it has the shower over it. I had the cavity insulated to help keep the water warm for long baths. Didn’t cost any extra, we just used left over insulation.

Your renovations are well underway, so after seeing the small floor plan and that the vanity is on an internal wall and you apparently still want the Shaving Cabinet. Having cavity brick walls I would get your brickie to remove a section of the brick wall so that the shaving cabinet can be recessed back into the cavity, this will overcome any concerns you have about bumping your head, this opening can then be patched along with other walls. I would take all of your photos and measurements to someone like Reece to pick a hand basin to fit,, I would also keep in mind that if say the width of the vanity is around 900 the shaving cabinet would match that width and you would end up with say 2 x 450 mirrored doors, which puts the mirror join in the middle and in your face when using the vanity. cheers

yeah ur dimensions are similar to mine but ive got a free standing bath so need 3-4cm from wall to bath to be able to get a mop arouns it. 1cm either side of my shaving cabinet to open the doors and 1cm for the width of the screen the shower area ends up being 810-820cm which seems on the small side, if i go a 750mm vanity it is a safe option as i can get a 900mm shower and some space between each item. Was urs that exact layout im wondering if anyone has had a 820-830mm shower in a wet room and noticed it was small
