Help with my small bathroom layout & update!
Comments (5)Hi Cassie, I think the bath under the window is best idea as you if you want you can have a 1700mm long bath and a big shower with still keeping a 1200mm vanity in the room will give you all three items of a large size. I did a quick drawing of what it would look like with the spacing you gave and the last image is of a bathroom we did with a similar spacing except with a 900 x 900 screen. Hopefully, that helps a little good luck with the renovation...See MoreI need help with my ensuite & bathroom design, it's a tricky one!
Comments (10)the biggest challenge is the location of the windows and enlarging the ens without having to rearrange the plumbing too much and, unless you want a bath in the ens and separate toilets my suggestion moves walls to allow for more space while keeping a smaller study and good sized family bathroom, bigger ensuite and more biw .... the area around the flue could be an ideal storage space for an upstairs vacuum cleaner, luggage etc but you should consult a heating specialist to confirm safe ways to enclose the flue and accurate dimensions will depend on how you measure the size of the windows (ie the edge of the window frame or the outside edge of the architraves?) and thickness of old and new walls but something like this could be worth considering...See MorePossible addition of small bathroom
Comments (13)I agree with @Kendra Hagedorn that you should add a cavity door as there is no door swing to consider, the entrance to the room is also the main walkway within the space, and once the door is closed there is ample space for comfort. Not only this but the toilet is generally tucked away if the door is left open. And I like your idea to have a shower-over-bath installation as that can help you save the space to make sure that your bathroom is fully functional to serve your daily living even if it has a space limitation. Comments (8)OKL stated what others were thinking that this was a possible student challenge which does happen on Houzz, she's certainly not a Troll, in fact she is known and appreciated for her constant amazing level of informed contributions Your question included " laundry sink + laundry mirror + toilet in the laundry = ??? (All of the above are located in the laundry) " No machines mentioned " Toilet + Vanity + Mirror = 1/2 bathroom." We don't use the term 1/2 bath in Australia, it's usually called a Powder Room which can have up to 3 elements, WC, Vanity and sometimes a shower Primary Bath = Ensuite, usually up to 4 elements WC, Shower, Bath and vanity Happy to help if you need any further understanding of the local terminology...See MoreAmber
