I've been in the flooring game selling carpets timber vinyl and ceramic tiles for 35 years, you are not the only one with this problem. The best solution is to remove the tiles but this is a big job but gives you 100% job but you probably know this. Bamboo flooring is good but please do your research on this because they are made two different ways Cold press and Hot press and the prices very from $30 - $60 also you will need to ask for the VOC certificate for things like formaldehyde. A lot of the cheaper suppliers do not have there's tested. The other thing that the industry is having but they want tell you is the bamboo is expanding and contracting a lot more in the Australian climate. Sorry to put a damper on bamboo. There is a newer floating floor on the market it has been around for about 7 years it is vinyl 4.5mm to 6mm thick its is good for going over tiles as it does not create to-much of a step and other issues in doors and kitchen

Waterproof Laminate for whole house as you mentioned you want same flooring in Laundry area too. There are few waterproof laminate in the market and I am happy to help you with that if you need me to do that. 2. Carpet (Solution Dyed Nylon or Triexta) for living, dining, study and bedrooms and Vinyl planks or waterproof laminate for Kitchen and Laundry areas. Like Dr Retro, I’m not aware of such a paint product, which is not surprising given you are making 2 big asks for the paint: Firstly, for external flooring which would be subject to abuse/harsh conditions from foot traffic, furniture (eg chair scrapes) and weather. Secondly, to the surface you want to apply to as this is a much harder for the paint to latch onto. If you do find a possible paint solution I would love to hear about it. If there isn’t such a product at least in the lounging/dining areas of your deck you could put a large outdoor rug to detract and shift focus away from the decking colour. Well, that's the theory. I remember reading a lot of discussion about it, perhaps not so much on this forum but other building forums, so it might be worth a search. I think that style of brick was new then though so maybe they have sorted the issues or builders have got used to the different requirements. I did wonder, if they need more gentle cleaning do the bricklayers need to work with slower precision knowing that the cleaning process will not be as rigorous? Hopefully someone with recent experience will provide some feedback.
